Entreprenuer level Program for Nagaland And Arunachal Pradesh

Ever since the Centre for North-Eastern Studies (CeNEST) set up at IIFT Kolkata effort was to develop the region's export capability. In this aspect, the entrepreneurs are the key actors in resorting to export activities, and hence NEC has been focusing on training the budding and existing entrepreneurs of the NE region. The objective was to make the entrepreneurs aware of the nitty-gritty of the export process and thereby contribute to enhancing exports from NE states. Thus to enhance export from the NE region by engaging the local entrepreneurs, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, Kolkata campus under CeNEST with the support of North Eastern Council (NEC) has been conducting entrepreneur level training programs.

IIFT conducted the first on-campus training programme of this series exclusively keeping in mind the requirements of the export-oriented entrepreneurs of NE states in order to prepare themselves and expand the export business. The 5-Days Entrepreneurial-Level Training Programme on “Export Capacity Enhancement for Nagaland” has been conducted at IIFT Kolkata Campus for the entrepreneurs of Nagaland during March 21-25, 2021. The Programme was inaugurated by the which Prof. Manoj Pant, Vice-Chancellor of IIFT in the presence of Dr. K. Rangarajan, Centre Head of IIFT Kolkata Campus, Shri Alemtemshi Jamir who is the former chief- secretary of Nagaland and CEO of IDAN (Investment and Development Authority of Nagaland); Prof. Gautam Dutta, the programme director and Shri David Kire, OSD of IDAN and other faculties of IIFT Kolkata was also present during the inauguration ceremony.



The second programme of this series, i.e. a 5-Days Entrepreneurial-Level Training Programme on “Export Capacity Enhancement for Arunachal Pradesh” has been conducted at IIFT Kolkata Campus for the entrepreneurs of Arunachal Pradesh during May 23-27, 2022
